Travel coordinator

Travel coordinator Required for this global business based in Canary Wharf. They are looking for an experience travel professional, with a background in business travel, as a travel coordinator, or possibly a longhaul leisure consultant. The role is a 18 month contract initially, 2 days per week in the office, salary up to £38,000, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. 

Travel coordinators duties
-You will be handling day to day travel requests from London office who travel regularly to worldwide destinations
-You will be the middle person who discusses the travel requirements internally and then ideally booking the requirements on your chosen TMCs portal, or dealing with the TMC, over email and phone
-You will be booking flights, hotels, rail, providing visa advise
-Check that all the travel requirements have been booked correctly and within travel policy
-Seek cost effective and policy compliant options
-Maintain complete and accurate booking  records , approvals, receipts, invoice references etc

Travel coordinators skills required
-Strong travel industry background is a must, ideally from a TMC or a travel coordinator background, but they would be open to speaking to someone from a fast paced long-haul reservations background
-Strong worldwide travel knowledge
-Happy to work in a fast paced, changing working environment
-Approachable, methodical, and organised
