Machine Shop Supervisor Permanent – Full-Time – Double Days - Monday-Friday - £44,000 Inc Shift Allowance Are you an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor with a strong background in CNC machining, production leadership, and continuous improvement within a precision engineering environment? This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business supplying high-quality engineered products into demanding industries. The business is investing heavily in operational performance, team development, and manufacturing capability. The Role: ·        Lead and supervise day-to-day production operations within a busy machining environment. ·        Drive team performance, accountability, and positive shopfloor behaviours. ·        Support and develop operators and setter/operators to strengthen overall team capability. ·        Work closely with Production Planning, Engineering, and Quality teams to maintain operational efficiency and output. ·        Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and maintain quality standards. ·        Take ownership of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People performance within your area. ·        Monitor and report on production KPI performance. ·        Drive process improvements and identify opportunities to optimise machining efficiency. ·        Ensure ERP systems are accurately maintained and production data is updated correctly. ·        Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards across the shopfloor. ·        Support internal and external audits where required. The Person: ·        Previous supervisory experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment. ·        Strong understanding of CNC machining processes including milling and turning. ·        Experience working within fast-paced production environments with responsibility for performance delivery. ·        Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems within manufacturing. ·        Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. ·        Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. ·        Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles would be advantageous.
