Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiology Consultant to join our dynamic team at Northampton General Hospital. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality cardiology services to our patients. You will work within a supportive and innovative environment, contributing to both clinical excellence and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert cardiology consultations and treatments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.
Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge in cardiology.
Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior medical staff and trainees.
Conduct and participate in research activities to advance cardiology practice.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.
Completion of higher specialist training in Cardiology.
CCST or CESR in Cardiology.
Experience in managing a wide range of cardiology conditions.
Desirable Skills:
Expertise in interventional cardiology procedures.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and across disciplines.
Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement.
Compliance Requirements:
Completion of NHS mandatory training.
Adherence to all Trust policies and procedures.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection standards.
