EdenScottisdelightedtobeworkingwiththeScottishSPCA,acharityfoundedin1839andonethatover90%ofthepopulationofScotlandknowandvalueforwhattheydofordomestic,farmandwildanimals.Theyemployover300colleaguesandhave900volunteerswhohavejoinedthefighttostopanimalssuffering.Highonpassion,endlessinenergy,committedtoensuringallcreaturesaretreatedwellatthehandsofhumansandhaveanimalcentresacrossScotland,includingInverness,Aberdeenshire,GlasgowandEdinburgh.Thecharityisundergoinganexcitingperiodofrenewalandinnovation,andisforward-facing,increasinglybrave,andfearlessinitsfighttostopanimalssuffering.Withcloseto45,000regularsupporterstheyarethelargestandleadinganimalwelfarecharityinScotlandandareintheheartsofthepublic,theearsofpoliticiansandtheeyesofthemedia.TheyarenowseekinganAnimalCentreManagertojointheteamattheirCardonald,GlasgowAnimalRescue & RehomingCentre.Youwillsupporttheirfightagainstanimalssufferingbyprovidingthebestcarepossibleintheirrescueandrehomingcentreandyouwillmaximisefosteringandadoptionopportunities.Youwillensurethatinthecentreweapplyconsistentprofessionalismfromadmissiontoadoption,usingclinicalandbehaviouralexpertisetodeterminehowtogettherightoutcomeforeveryanimal.
Key responsibilities
- Managing people: recruit, induct, train, manage and support staff and volunteers in line with policies and protocols, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Adoption outcomes: maximize the number of animals achieving a second chance of happiness by leveraging veterinary and behavioural expertise.
- Monitoring performance: manage the centre’s performance and budget in line with business plans, ensuring the use of agreed suppliers and national partnerships for goods and services.
- Building capability: deliver centre objectives through empowering, coaching and enabling others to perform at their best, celebrating good practice and sharing stories to inspire new donations.
- Managing health & safety: keep all staff, volunteers, visitors and animals safe by implementing and monitoring organisational policies and standards, encouraging a culture of accountability.
- Leadership contribution: translate strategy into local priorities, align people, resources and processes for sustainable results, and lead within the animal centre’s leadership group to foster collaboration and shared ownership of outcomes.

Salary
Competitive salary within the range of £37,000 – £47,000, negotiable depending on experience.
