Quality Engineering Team Lead

Contract Role: Quality Engineering Test Lead (Financial Services) Key Details: Location: Farnborough, UK (Hybrid: 3 days onsite per week) Contract Duration: 6 Months Working Hours: 40 hours/weekAbout the Role: We are partnering with a highly prestigious, globally recognized organization to find an expert Quality Engineering Test Lead for their Financial Services division. In this critical 6-month contract, you will act as the key driver for software quality, ensuring upcoming customer contract initiatives are flawlessly delivered before launch. You will act as the crucial bridge between complex IT systems and everyday business operations, leading testing strategies from early preparation right through to post-launch support. What You Will Be Doing: Strategic Test Planning: Design and present comprehensive testing strategies across multiple systems for both technical and business use cases. End-to-End Execution: Oversee SIT, Business UAT, technical data synchronization, and operational process stability. Risk & Bug Management: Lead defect triage calls, identify risks early, and present proactive solutions to keep testing sprints on track. Team Leadership: Plan, prioritize, and manage testing progress while overseeing and mentoring junior test execution staff. Stakeholder Engagement: Translate complex technical testing topics into clear, easy-to-understand language for non-technical business departments. Post-Launch Support: Provide vital support during Production Acceptance testing and Hypercare phases.What We Are Looking For: Master-Level Expertise: Deep, proven experience in Test Execution and Management. Proactive Leader: A highly self-sufficient driver who does not require micro-management to push delivery forward. Exceptional Communicator: Ability to write clear, actionable test scripts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
