Operating within the Lloyd's market, the organisation manages complex insurance portfolios and has established a strong reputation within the legacy and run-off sector. With continued growth and investment across the business, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative and technically strong finance function. Your new roleAs Syndicate Accountant, you will play a key role in the delivery of regulatory and financial reporting requirements for the syndicate. Working as part of a specialist insurance finance team with the chance to work closely with the Syndicate Finance Manager, Financial Controller, and wider finance function in a collaborative and supportive environment.Preparation of Lloyd's and regulatory returns, including QMA Delta, Solvency UK, US Situs and CAD Situs.Production and review of annual syndicate reporting.Preparation and review of relevant Lloyd's tax returns.Ownership of cash, overseas deposits and Lloyd's settlement journals.Developing a strong understanding of financial data flows and supporting the integrity of financial reporting.Supporting improvements in reporting quality, efficiency and process automation.Working closely with the Syndicate Finance Manager and wider finance team on ad hoc projects and business initiatives.What you'll need to succeedSignificant experience within the Lloyd's insurance market.Strong knowledge of syndicate accounting and Lloyd's regulatory reporting.Excellent technical insurance accounting expertise.Experience preparing regulatory returns and working within strict reporting deadlines.Advanced Excel and data manipulation skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance and operational teams.What you'll get in returnSalary up to 85,000 depending on experience.Fixed-term contract through to February 2028.Hybrid working arrangement.Opportunity to work within a highly respected Lloyd's market business.Collaborative team environment with exposure to senior stakeholders.The chance to contribute to ongoing process improvements and strategic finance projects.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
