This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to projects from concept through detailed design, collaborating with architects, contractors and other engineering professionals to deliver safe, efficient and practical structural solutions. Key Responsibilities Undertake structural design and calculations for residential and commercial developments. Design reinforced concrete, structural steelwork, masonry and timber structures. Assess foundations and structural elements, considering ground conditions and project requirements. Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, specifications and technical reports. Coordinate designs with architectural, civil and building services teams. Ensure compliance with relevant British Standards, Eurocodes and Scottish building regulations. Support site inspections, respond to technical queries and assist with construction-stage issues.Experience and Qualifications The successful structural engineer will ideally have: A degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
