About the role
Are you an experienced children's nurse looking for your next step? We're recruiting a Paediatric Clinical Lead to join an expanding complex care service, helping children receive safe, personalised care in their own homes.
As Paediatric Clinical Lead, you'll combine community visits with clinical oversight and staff support. Children's complex care packages will be your priority, with some involvement in adult services.
Your responsibilities as Paediatric Clinical Lead will include: Overseeing complex care packages and working closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. Supporting and supervising nurses and care staff. Completing clinical assessments, competency checks and observations of practice. Keeping care plans, risk assessments and clinical documentation up to date. Attending family meetings, clinical reviews and case management discussions. Carrying out audits, spot checks and incident reviews. Supporting the setup of new care packages, including assessments and staff onboarding. Identifying training needs and escalating clinical risks or safeguarding concerns. To succeed as Paediatric Clinical Lead, you'll need: Registered Nurse status (RSCN or RGN), with essential paediatric experience. Strong complex care experience, including tracheostomy care, ventilation, PEG/NJ feeding and stoma care. The ability to lead and support clinical and non-clinical staff. Strong communication skills and confidence working with families and other professionals. A driving licence and flexibility to travel across the West Midlands and surrounding areas. ICU or HDU experience is preferred. Community complex care experience is desirable but isn't essential.
What's on offer?
Up to £49,000 per annum, depending on experience. Support from the wider Complex Care leadership team. Opportunities to progress into regional or senior clinical roles.
