SEND/SEMH Tutor - Yeovil Location: Yeovil, Somerset Phase: Primary / Secondary / SEND / SEMH Working Arrangement: In-person Quantum Scholars are looking for a patient, supportive and experienced SEND/SEMH Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one support to a young person in Yeovil. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work. The successful tutor will have experience supporting children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs and will be confident adapting their approach to meet individual learning, emotional and behavioural needs. The role will focus on creating a calm, positive and supportive learning environment where the student feels comfortable and confident to engage. The tutor will build a strong professional relationship with the young person while supporting their academic progress, confidence, independence and re-engagement with education. The role may involve: Providing one-to-one educational support tailored to the student's individual needs and abilities. Supporting the student with core subjects, depending on experience and the student's requirements. Planning and delivering engaging, accessible and appropriately challenging learning activities. Adapting teaching methods, resources, pace and expectations to suit individual needs. Supporting students with a range of SEND and SEMH needs.
