1:1 SEND Maths Tutor - Hereford Location: Hereford, Herefordshire Subject: Maths Phase: Secondary / SEND Working Arrangement: In-person Quantum Scholars are looking for a patient, supportive and experienced 1:1 SEND Maths Tutor to provide personalised Maths tuition to a young person in Hereford. The successful tutor will have experience supporting learners with SEND and be able to adapt their teaching style, pace and resources to meet individual needs. You will be confident building a positive relationship with the learner and creating a calm, supportive environment where they feel comfortable engaging with education. Experience supporting young people who have barriers to mainstream education, including anxiety, school avoidance, disengagement or SEMH needs, would be highly desirable. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work. The role may involve: Providing personalised one-to-one Maths tuition to a secondary-aged learner. Supporting a young person with SEND and/or additional learning needs. Adapting Maths lessons, resources and teaching approaches to suit individual needs. Supporting areas including number, algebra, geometry, statistics, ratio, proportion and problem solving. Identifying gaps in knowledge and areas requiring additional support. Breaking learning into manageable and accessible steps. Supporting the secondary Maths curriculum and GCSE preparation where appropriate. Developing confidenc...
