RAC Roadside Technician Apprentice

North London Garages GTA are working in partnership with The RAC, and we are looking for motivated individuals to join its Roadside Technician Apprenticeship Programme, combining hands-on experience with industry-recognised training to help you become a fully qualified roadside technician. You’ll work alongside an experienced RAC mentor, learning how to diagnose faults, carry out roadside repairs and get customers safely back on the road. What you’ll be doing * Attending roadside breakdowns alongside an experienced RAC technician * Learning fault finding, diagnostics and vehicle repair * Developing your mechanical and electrical knowledge * Providing excellent customer service * Completing your apprenticeship training with full support throughout What we’re looking for * 18 years or over * Full UK manual driving licence with 0 points * A genuine interest in cars and the automotive industry * Confident, practical and keen to learn * Comfortable working independently and dealing with customers What’s on offer * Year 1 salary: £16,500 * Year 2: National Living Wage, based on age * £5,000 London Living Allowance if eligible * 27-month apprenticeship programme * Dedicated RAC mentor and full training * Your own RAC van once you have successfully completed your initial mentoring period, after 6 months * Opportunity to move into a permanent Roadside Technician position following successful completion of the apprenticeship If you’re looking for a hands-on career where no two days are the same, this could be the perfect opportunity to start your journey with the RAC
