Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils / Infrastructure / Water Location: Abingdon, OX13 Contract Type: Freelance / Contract - Inside IR35 (Umbrella PAYE) Rate: £575 - £625 per day Sector: Water / Civil Infrastructure TRIbuild Solutions is recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor for a site-based role in Abingdon, working on Thames Water infrastructure. This is a freelance position operating inside IR35 via umbrella PAYE. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the effective management and issue of accurate, timely and compliant notices and correspondence, ensuring compliance of all contractual activities on the project Identify contractual and commercial risks and opportunities to the project Maintain registers of variations, delay, extension of time and claims, ensuring effective and consistent implementation of commercial policies and procedures Assist with preparation of monthly progress valuations and claims for work completed Produce monthly cost reports, forecasts and Contract Budget reports Manage subcontracts from initial placement of order through to final account Monitor and update the Procurement Plan, including subcontract procurement and commercial comparisons Reconcile weekly plant, material and labour costs against budgetEssential Skills & Experience Experienced in delivering large-scale projects including civil, mechanical, infrastructure and non-infrastructure work Adaptable to evolving commercial management methodology and new digital reporting requirements Proactive approach to new ways of working, problem solving and continuous improvement Able to lead by example and develop team members' skills and experience Confident engaging with stakeholders across disciplines to establish complete commercial understanding Confident to challenge the wider project team's view on scope and hold them accountable for deliverablesQualifications Full Membership (or nearing completion) of RICS / CICESTo apply, please submit your CV or contact Leon at TRIbuild Solutions for more information
