Civils Estimator

Peace Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing civil engineering contractor looking to add an Estimator to its commercial team.The level of the appointment is flexible. Whether you're an experienced Estimator looking for your next move or an Assistant/Junior Estimator looking to develop your career, there is scope to tailor the position around your experience.The business continues to grow year-on-year and is investing in its estimating team to increase tendering capacity and support its future workload.The RoleYou'll be involved in pricing a range of civil engineering and groundworks projects.Responsibilities will include:Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings and specificationsCarrying out accurate take-offs and quantity measurementsPreparing cost estimates for labour, plant, materials and subcontract packagesObtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotationsProducing competitive tender submissionsIdentifying commercial risks and opportunities within tendersWorking closely with the wider commercial and operational teamsUsing Causeway for estimating and pricingSupporting the business in securing profitable new projectsAbout YouIdeally, you'll have previous estimating experience within civil engineering, groundworks or a related construction environment.For more experienced candidates, a strong track record of independently pricing groundworks and civils projects would be preferred.For Assistant or Junior Estimators, the business is open to developing someone earlier in their career, although some previous estimating exposure and a good understanding oftake-offs would be advantageous.Previous experience usingCauseway would also be beneficial but isn't essential.What's on Offer?Up to 70,000 salary, depending on experienceOpportunity available from Assistant/Junior Estimator through to experienced Estimator levelCar or car allowance depending on seniorityHealthcare potentially available depending on levelLong-term career opportunity with a growing Scottish civil engineering contractorStrong pipeline and continued investment in the businessFlexible start date for the right candidateThe role is predominantly office based.If you have estimating experience within civils, groundworks or infrastructure and would like to hear more, apply now or get in touch confidentially.Salary:Up to 70k plus package DOELocation:East of Scotland Type:permanentSUBMIT CV
