Account Director

Account Director – Building Services Location: Central London Salary: Up to £90,000 + package We are currently seeking an experienced Account Director with a strong building services and engineering background to lead a key facilities management contract in Central London. This is a senior client-facing position with responsibility for overall contract performance, operational delivery, commercial management, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities * Provide strategic and operational leadership across a major building services / facilities management contract. * Take overall responsibility for contract performance, service delivery, KPIs, SLAs, compliance, and customer satisfaction. * Lead and develop engineering and facilities management teams, ensuring high standards of operational performance. * Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders. * Oversee budgets, P&L performance, commercial management, and contract profitability. * Identify opportunities for contract growth, additional services, projects, and continuous improvement. * Ensure effective management of planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and critical engineering systems. * Lead performance reviews and present operational and commercial information to senior stakeholders. * Manage subcontractors and supply-chain partners to ensure consistent service delivery. * Drive a strong culture of health & safety, compliance, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement. About You * Strong background in building services, engineering, or facilities management. * Previous experience in a senior contract, account, or operational management position. * Proven experience managing client relationships and large engineering/FM teams. * Strong commercial and financial awareness, including experience managing budgets and contract performance. * Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. * Relevant engineering or facilities management qualification is desirable.
