- Belfast (Hybrid) MCS Group is delighted to be working with a successful Accountancy Firm in Belfast to source an R&D Tax Manager to join their expanding team.
The Company: One of the largest Accountancy firms in Belfast, recently acquired by a large group.
The company re-brand has helped with image in the market and now part of a bigger group providing better opportunities/work/clients
- getting more work from wider group from UK clients with NI/ROI entities.

The Benefits: As a successful R&D Tax Manager, you will receive the following: £45,000-£55,000 Annual bonus opportunity Hybrid working Flexible working hours 33 days holiday (can purchase 5 days extra) Life Assurance 4 x Salary Pension Income Protection Medical Employee Assistance Programme Health & Well-being The Role: As a successful R&D Tax Manager, you will have the following duties: Manage a portfolio of R&D tax clients from onboarding through to claim submission and review.
Lead and coordinate the end-to-end R&D process, ensuring high-quality delivery and timely completion of all projects.
Build strong client relationships through workshops, interviews, and advisory support, improving record-keeping and claim readiness.
Mentor junior staff, handle HMRC enquiries, and drive business development opportunities.
The Person: The successful R&D Tax Manager will meet the following criteria: Proven experience in R&D tax relief and claim preparation.
Strong report-writing skills with a solid understanding of current legislation and case law.
Confident client-facing professional with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experienced in leading teams, managing workloads, and delivering projects to deadline. xwzovoh
Open to candidates strong in corporate tax with some experience in R&D Tax.
