People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance & Reach Truck Operative to join our well-established client based in Wakefield .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering £13.00 per hour, weekly pay, ongoing work, immediate starts and consistent Monday to Friday working hours, with an early finish every Friday.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an FLT Counterbalance Driver, FLT Reach Truck Driver, Forklift Truck Operator, Warehouse Operative or Goods In Operative and hold valid Counterbalance and Reach Truck licences.
Shifts
• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
• Friday: 7:00am – 1:15pm
• Early finish every Friday
• No weekend working

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Counterbalance & Reach Truck Operative, your duties will include:
• Operating FLT Counterbalance and Reach Trucks safely and efficiently
• Carrying out daily forklift safety checks
• Receiving, putting away, picking, packing and dispatching materials
• Accurately recording warehouse activities using the SAP MRP system
• Checking goods received and identifying any quality or quantity discrepancies
• Completing stock checks and stocktakes in line with company procedures
• Participating in daily team meetings and working towards warehouse targets
• Meeting delivery drivers on arrival and communicating site access and safety procedures
• Supporting the safe loading and unloading of vehicles
• Carrying out manual handling duties safely and efficiently
• Maintaining accurate warehouse records and inventory information
• Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Essential Skills
To be successful as a Counterbalance & Reach Truck Operative, you will need:
• Valid FLT Counterbalance licence
• Valid FLT Reach Truck licence
• Previous experience working within a warehouse environment
• Experience using SAP transactions within a warehouse environment
• Good IT literacy and confidence using warehouse systems
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively within a small team
• Positive, reliable and flexible approach to work
