An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tekla Detailer to join a well-established steelwork contractor delivering a mix of structural and architectural steel projects across London and the wider UK. This is a hands-on detailing role working closely with design, engineering, fabrication, and site teams to deliver accurate, buildable models and fabrication drawings.

This role requires previous experience within structural steel detailing, with strong proficiency in Tekla Structures and a solid understanding of how models translate through fabrication and into site installation.

What you’ll do:

Produce detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures

Work closely with engineers and project teams to develop accurate steelwork designs

Ensure drawings and models are fully coordinated and fabrication-ready

Interpret architectural and structural drawings to produce detailed steelwork packages

Liaise with fabrication workshops, project managers, and site teams

Resolve detailing issues and support technical queries during fabrication and erection

Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and client requirements

Attend coordination meetings as required

You’ll need:

Proven experience as a Tekla Detailer within structural steelwork

Strong knowledge of structural and/or architectural steelwork

Proficiency in Tekla Structures (essential)

Ability to read and interpret technical and architectural drawings

Strong understanding of fabrication and erection processes

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment
