James Lambeth Recruitment are working with a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor to recruit a Senior Engineer for a major infrastructure development in Bridgwater, Somerset.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project and take responsibility for managing a team of three Engineers while overseeing substantial external works packages.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead a team of Engineers and coordinate the delivery of multiple work fronts across the project.

Typical works include:

• Groundworks
• Roads and infrastructure
• Kerbing and drainage
• Car parks and hard standings
• Hard landscaping
• Soft landscaping
• External works packages

Responsibilities

• Managing and mentoring a team of three Engineers
• Coordinating setting out and engineering activities
• Reviewing drawings and technical information
• Ensuring quality assurance standards are maintained
• Managing subcontractors and maintaining accurate records
• Producing and reviewing engineering documentation
• Liaising with site management and client representatives
• Driving programme, quality and health & safety performance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer within civil engineering or groundworks
• Strong background delivering roads, infrastructure and external works
• Experience managing and developing engineering teams
• Excellent QA and technical knowledge
• CSCS Card essential
• Strong communication and organisational skills
