About the role

Night Traffic Operator – PERMANENT – Southampton - £35,000 to £38.000 per annum Job Title: Night Traffic Operator Location: Southampton, Hampshire Salary: £35,000 to £38.000 per annum – depending on Experience. Bonuses: £6.600 per year extra for on call bonus Job Type: Fulltime permanent. Shifts Required: Monday to Friday only. Hours: 15:30pm – 01:30am Benefits: * Company Pension * Life Assurance * Monthly paid Role * Competitive salary * 23 days holiday per year * On-site parking Transport Planner - Requirements & Responsibilities * Managing Container vehicle bookings systems (VBS) for port collections and deliveries, ensuring slotsa are booked and utilised effectively to avoid delays and maximise operational efficiency. * Planning routine and scheduling drivers and company vehicles to ensure efficient overnight transport operations * Proficient IT skills - experience using TOPS is a strong advantage. * Route planning experience * Supervising and supporting drivers during night operations acting as the main point of contact for operational queries and issues * Monitoring ongoing vehicle movements and responding to delays, breakdowns and operational changes * A good Understanding of the local geographical area would be advantageous * Can multi-Task and prioritise duties. * Providing updraws to management on operational performance and any issues arising during drivers shifts This is a truly great opportunity, and the successful candidate will receive a very competitive salary package, ongoing training & additional benefits.
