About the role
Overview
Senior Software Architect – UK based, leading teams across two global brands. Own the full software lifecycle from sales and definition through design, development, deployment, and support. Work closely with client R&D teams and external partners in a collaborative, client‑facing role that accelerates both technical and commercial leadership. Responsibilities
Lead and unite software teams across the UK, Germany, and China. Evaluate and steer two major existing architectures, ensuring continuity and structural alignment. Define roadmaps for new features, architectural direction, and next‑generation X‑ray software platform. Develop system architectures and high‑level product specifications for robust, scalable, and secure solutions. Architect layered software architectures that enable agile collaboration and quick iteration on new solutions. Work within an Agile framework (e.g., SAFe, SCRUM). Engage as a mentor, sharing skills and experience. Influence and persuade global teams across diverse functions without direct authority. Drive architecture to delivery, tackling complex problems and leading effectively. Qualifications
Commercial development experience in languages such as C/C++, C#, Python, .NET, Java, SQL. Domain experience in at least one of the following:
Application software (industrial automation, networking protocols, UI frameworks, IT systems) IoT services and Cloud development (Azure, AWS, etc.) AI/ML systems Cybersecurity Embedded systems (RTOS, bare metal, hard real‑time)
Proven ability to develop visionary strategies, roadmaps, and forward‑looking plans. Experience with Agile collaboration frameworks and mentoring peers. Equal Opportunity Employment
