From feeding Royal Marines in demanding environments to creating fine-dining experiences for VIPs and visiting dignitaries, this role blends catering, leadership, logistics, customer service, and operational readiness into one career-defining pathway.
Pay & Career Progression
Starting salary: £27,282 per year
Earning potential: Up to £67,201 per year at Warrant Officer 1
Fast Track Route: If you already have catering experience or relevant qualifications, you may be eligible for the Catering Services Fast Track and Higher Starting Pay Scheme, enabling you to start on £33,389 per year after professional training, with your higher pay backdated to the first day of this training once Fast Track competence is achieved
Six weeks paid leave per year

What Youll Do
Operate and lead in a high-performance commercial kitchen
Prepare and deliver meals for ships companies, troops ashore, and elite VIP events
Manage menu planning, provisioning, stock control and kitchen logistics
Deliver front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality to Royal Navy standards
Maintain crew morale and operational fitness through high-quality meal delivery
Train as part of the ships firefighting, medical and damage control teams
Travel globally, gaining exposure to international cuisines and cultural experiences
Training & Qualifications Youll Gain
