This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in credit analysis, corporate finance, and risk management while working with experienced professionals across a range of industries.As a Credit Risk Senior Associate/ Vice President in Credit Risk, you will assess and manage credit and counterparty risks across industries, clients, geographies, and transactions. You will help identify, measure, monitor, and manage credit exposure arising from underwriting, lending, trading, cash management, clearing, and other client activities. Working within Corporate Risk Management, you will contribute to independent credit risk assessments and support sound risk management practices across the firm.Job ResponsibilitiesAssess credit and counterparty risks across clients, industries, geographies, and transactionsAnalyze credit exposures arising from underwriting, lending, and trading activitiesEvaluate financial and credit information to support risk assessments and recommendationsMonitor credit portfolios and identify emerging risksSupport the measurement, management, and monitoring of credit risk exposuresApply accounting and corporate finance principles in credit analysis activitiesPrepare and review financial models and analytical materialsCollaborate with business partners and risk management stakeholdersContribute to the integrity and independence of risk management decisionsCommunicate credit assessments and risk considerations effectivelySupport ongoing risk management initiatives and projectsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related disciplineCredit or underwriting credentialsStrong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting and corporate financeStrong financial modeling skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAbility to learn new concepts and apply critical thinking skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environmentStrong sense of accountability and ownershipStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to understand and explain complex conceptsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environmentPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and SkillsUnderstanding of credit risk management principles and practicesExperience analyzing corporate financial statementsExperience supporting credit underwriting or risk assessment activitiesAbility to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholdersInterest in client-facing interactions and relationship managementStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to adapt to changing business prioritiesJ.P.
