This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious litigator who wants to take on high-quality work, enjoy real autonomy and play an important role in the continued development of a growing Scottish practice.The team acts for a broad client base ranging from major national and international businesses to entrepreneurial and owner-managed companies, advising on complex and high-value disputes across a variety of sectors.Role Profile:You will advise on a broad range of commercial disputes, including:Contractual and commercial claimsShareholder and corporate disputesProfessional negligenceContentious debt recoveryRegulatory mattersComplex Sheriff Court and Court of Session litigationYou will have the opportunity to lead matters independently while working closely with experienced Partners and colleagues across the wider UK disputes practice.The role will include:Managing complex and high-value litigationAppearing regularly in Sheriff Courts across ScotlandPreparing pleadings and managing court procedureAdvising clients on dispute strategy and resolutionManaging cases from initial instruction through to conclusionSupporting and mentoring trainees and junior lawyersWorking closely with colleagues across the firm's wider UK platformCandidate Requirements:The successful candidate is likely to have:5+ years' PQE in commercial litigation or a broader disputes practiceStrong experience of Sheriff Court litigationThe confidence to manage matters independentlyExcellent technical, communication and negotiation skillsStrong client management skillsCourt of Session experience would be advantageousThis is a particularly attractive opportunity for a lawyer who would like to join a fast-growing Scottish disputes practice with the resources and client base of a substantial UK law firm behind it.The position offers high-quality work, genuine scope to influence the growth of the team and clear opportunities for further career progression. xrnqpay On Offer:A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package are available.For further information or a confidential discussion, please contact:David Thomson- DirectorEdinburgh: Email:  Edinburgh, Scotland
