Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant Nottingham Office Based £30,000 - £34,000 + AAT study support Eaton Syalon are supporting our Nottingham based client to recruit an Assistant Accountant into their Finance team. As the Assistant Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Management Accounts Team and Finance Controller to support the smooth running of the finance function with a structured month end close schedule. Key Responsibilities: - Manage expenses - Process company credit cards - Raise sales invoices - Payroll - support current Payroll function and provide holiday cover - Assisting in supplier statement reconciliations, cleansing the ledger and completing intercompany journals - Management Accounts - month end operations - support with general ledger cashbook postings, bank reconciliations for multiple companies (including intercompany transactions) and balance sheet reconciliations Person Profile: - Experience using Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central would be advantageous - Strong Excel skills - Working towards AAT or AAT qualified - An efficient, detail-focused Assistant Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced finance environment If you have a background in transactional finance with some month-end support, we'd love to hear from you.
