Long Term Futures are recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Ilford, Redbridge, with an immediate start available
The school is looking for a confident and proactive Teaching Assistant who can support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, providing both general classroom assistance and additional support to children with varying learning needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant or someone with previous experience working with primary-aged children who is looking for a stable, long-term position.

Key Responsibilities:

Support classroom teachers across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support
Assist pupils with English, Maths, phonics and early literacy
Support children with SEN, ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs
Help deliver targeted interventions to improve pupil progress
Encourage positive behaviour, independence and engagement
Prepare classroom resources and support lesson activities
Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support individual learning plans
Maintain a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant, SEN TA or Learning Support Assistant is desirable
Experience working with primary-aged children
A good understanding of EYFS, KS1 or KS2
Confidence supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A patient, enthusiastic and proactive approach
Experience supporting SEN or additional needs would be advantageous
A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be beneficial but is not essential
