QUANTITY SURVEYOR – SOCIAL HOUSING 🚨 📍 Basildon, Essex 🏗️ Main Contractor 💰 £55,000 – £75,000 DOE + Package 🕒 Permanent | Full Time We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing Social Housing Main Contractor delivering planned maintenance, refurbishment, FRA, decarbonisation, and reactive maintenance projects across London & the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of secured works and long-term frameworks already in place. The role would suit someone commercially sharp who is confident managing projects from pre-construction through to final account while working closely with operational teams and clients. 🛠️ Responsibilities: * Managing the commercial performance of multiple social housing projects * Preparing and managing valuations, CVRs, variations, and final accounts * Subcontractor procurement and account management * Cost control and forecasting * Working closely with Contracts Managers and Operational teams * Managing client relationships and attending commercial meetings * Identifying risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions * Supporting tender and pricing activities where required ✅ Requirements: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction or social housing * Experience working for a Main Contractor preferred * Strong understanding of refurbishment, maintenance, or planned works * Good knowledge of contracts and commercial processes * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities * Strong communication and negotiation skills * Full UK Driving Licence 🔥 Package: * £55,000 – £75,000 DOE * Car allowance / company vehicle * Bonus potential * Pension * Genuine progression opportunities * Stable, long-term pipeline of work 📩 For a confidential conversation or more information, please get in touch directly
