We are working on a CFO appointment for a private-equity-backed, technology-enabled lending business operating in the UK SME market.

With strong institutional backing, it is entering the next phase of its growth and requires a commercial, hands‑on CFO to help lead the business through a full PE cycle.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the CFO will play a critical role in:

• Leading the finance function of a scaled alternative lending platform
• Acting as a strategic partner to the PE sponsor and senior leadership team
• Driving financial discipline, governance, and reporting in a regulated lending environment
• Supporting growth initiatives, capital strategy, and funding structures
• Preparing the business for future value‑creation events (refinancing, exit)

The Ideal Profile

We are looking for a CFO who brings:

• Senior finance leadership experience within fintech, alternative lending, or private credit
• Exposure to Merchant Cash Advance (MCA)
• A proven track record of working with PE/VC investors
• Strong commercial instincts alongside robust technical finance capability
