Are you a qualified Dispensing Optician looking for a locum opportunity in a friendly independent practice?

We're working with a lovely independent opticians in Ongar, Essex, who are looking for an experienced, qualified Dispensing Optician to provide cover across a block of dates from November 2026 through to January 2027.

This is a great opportunity for a DO who enjoys working in an independent environment, offering a mid-to-high range of products and working with quality Essilor lenses.

The Details

Location: Ongar, Essex

Position: Locum Dispensing Optician

Rate: Up to £190 per day

Hours: 9:30am-5:00pm, with a reduced day on Saturdays

Practice: Friendly independent opticians

Product range: Mid-to-high range

Lenses: Essilor

Who Are We Looking For?

We're looking for a fully qualified Dispensing Optician who is confident in their dispensing abilities, provides excellent patient care and can work professionally within an independent practice.

You'll need to be reliable, approachable and comfortable advising patients on suitable eyewear, lenses and dispensing solutions.

Important Booking Information

This is a full-block booking, and the practice requires commitment to all the dates listed above. Unfortunately, individual days or partial availability will not be suitable for this assignment.
