Nursery Manager - Billingham/Thornaby Area Permanent | Full Time | September Start Empowering Learning are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established nursery in the Billingham/Thornaby area to recruit an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager for a permanent, full-time position starting in September. We are seeking a dedicated childcare professional with previous experience managing a nursery setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the nursery team, maintaining high standards of care and education, and ensuring a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for all children. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the nursery Ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding are consistently maintained Support and develop staff through effective leadership, mentoring, and performance management Deliver a high-quality early years provision in line with the EYFS framework Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external professionals Maintain accurate records, assessments, and learning journeys Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements, and OFSTED standards Oversee Health & Safety procedures, risk assessments, and nursery policies Drive continuous improvement through action planning and quality assurance Requirements To be considered for this role, you must have: Previous experience managing a nursery setting is essential Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and OFSTED expectations Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills A positive and passionate approach to working with children and staff A full and relevant Level 3 childcare qualification or above in Early Years In Return, You Can Expect A dedicated and supportive consultant team available 24/7 Competitive rates of pay Flexible working opportunities Access to CPD training and certificates supported by Empowering Learning How to Apply If you are an experienced Nursery Manager looking for your next permanent opportunity starting in September, we would love to hear from you.
