Job Description Personal Injury Solicitor (Newly Qualified) | Birmingham | National Law Firm | Defendant Insurance | Excellent Career Opportunity /n Are you a newly qualified Solicitor looking to build your career within a leading defendant insurance team? /n We are working with a highly regarded national law firm that is looking to appoint an NQ EL/PL Solicitor to join its established team in Birmingham. /n This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious newly qualified lawyer to gain high-quality experience working on a varied caseload of Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims, alongside experienced and supportive practitioners. /n The Role /n You will work as part of a specialist defendant insurance team, acting for a range of insurers, corporate clients and other major organisations. /n Your responsibilities will include: /n Managing a caseload of EL and PL defendant claims. /n Assisting with claims from initial instruction through to resolution. /n Advising insurer and corporate clients on liability, quantum and strategy. /n Drafting pleadings, statements, correspondence and other legal documentation. /n Reviewing evidence and assessing prospects of success. /n Liaising with clients, insurers, counsel, experts and other stakeholders. /n Negotiating settlements where appropriate. /n Supporting more senior members of the team on complex and higher-value matters. /n Developing strong client relationships and gaining exposure to high-quality defendant insurance work. /n About You /n We are looking for an NQ Solicitor who has ideally gained some experience in EL/PL, defendant personal injury or insurance litigation during their training contract. /n You will have: /n Recently qualified as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or be due to qualify shortly. /n Experience of EL/PL or defendant insurance work is highly desirable. /n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. /n Excellent written and verbal communication skills. /n A commercial and client-focused approach. /n The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. /n A genuine interest in developing a long-term career within defendant insurance litigation. /n Why Join? /n You will join a nationally recognised law firm with an established insurance practice and an excellent platform for career development. /n The role offers the chance to work alongside experienced lawyers, develop your technical expertise and gain exposure to a broad range of high-quality EL/PL claims. /n For the right candidate, this is an opportunity to build a long-term career within a market-leading defendant insurance team, with genuine opportunities for progression. /n If you are an NQ Solicitor looking to establish yourself within a leading defendant insurance practice, I would be keen to hear from you. /n
