Job Title: GCP Platform Provisioning Engineer
Location: Glasgow
Start Date: August
Job Type: Contract - Inside IR35

We are seeking an experienced Platform Provisioning Engineer to support the delivery of a next-generation multi-cloud platform, building and automating cloud provisioning solutions across Google Cloud Platform, with exposure to AWS and Azure.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation and Kubernetes, helping deliver secure, scalable platform services within a modern DevOps environment.

Key responsibilities

Design and develop GCP platform provisioning and management solutions
Build automation using Python and Terraform
Develop Infrastructure as Code to deploy and manage cloud environments
Provision and support Kubernetes clusters and containerised platforms
Drive automation and platform engineering best practices across cloud services
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud platform capabilities
Ensure cloud solutions meet security, compliance and operational standards

Key experience required

Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Proven experience delivering platform provisioning and cloud automation solutions
Strong Python and Terraform development skills
Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies
Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
Comfortable working in Linux shell environments (Bash/Zsh)
Experience delivering Infrastructure as Code and automation at enterprise scale

Desirable

Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
Previous experience working within large enterprise cloud environments
