Company Description Huxley-Parlour Gallery, founded in London in 2010, is a modern and contemporary art gallery representing a diverse group of artists and an inclusive vision of recent art history. Known for its thoughtful curation, the gallery prioritizes creating a welcoming and educational environment for art enthusiasts. Huxley-Parlour is recognized for its commitment to integrity, innovation, and delivering industry-leading expertise in its exhibitions and initiatives. Huxley-Parlour is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Art Registrar (Maternity Cover) to oversee the coordination and logistics of artworks for exhibitions, sales, and art fairs across the galleries two central London locations. The role involves managing a busy schedule of national and international shipments, including organising exhibition transport for both UK-based and international artists, coordinating local and overseas sales deliveries, and arranging inbound and outbound shipping for international art fairs. Key responsibilities include handling artwork imports and exports, managing the gallery inventory, organising mounting and framing for exhibitions and sales, preparing consignment agreements and arranging shipping insurance, and safely packing smaller artworks for courier shipment using services such as FedEx. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, experience working with fine art logistics and collections management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced gallery environment. An understanding of customs procedures, HS codes, import tariffs, and special schemes such as Temporary Admission and Bonded Warehouse is essential.
