Teacher of Science

Teacher of Science – Secondary School in Tower Hamlets

A secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London, is seeking a Teacher of Science to join its department from January 2027. This full-time, fixed-term appointment runs until August 2027 and involves teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4. The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers with strong subject knowledge. It's a chance to take responsibility for your own classes while contributing to curriculum planning and student progress.

As a Teacher of Science, you'll work alongside departmental colleagues to deliver well-structured lessons that develop scientific understanding and practical skills. You'll teach students with varying levels of confidence, preparing them for GCSE examinations and helping them apply scientific concepts independently. The department encourages collaborative planning and the sharing of effective teaching approaches. For an ECT, this offers valuable classroom experience; for an established teacher, it provides an opportunity to contribute their expertise.
