Freelance Logistics Manager - Office Fit-Out - Hemel Hempstead
Leading UK Fit-Out Contractor
Start Date: ASAP (within 2 weeks)
Contract Length: Minimum 12 months
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Rate: £30 per hour (10-hour days)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, with potential flexibility required for weekend work (likely at the latter stages of the project)
Working Hours: 7:00am to 5:00pm
About the Role
A leading UK Design & Build office fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to join a £20 million office fit-out project in Hemel Hempstead.
Applicants must have previous experience delivering CAT A and CAT B office fit-out projects.
This is a three-phase, live-tenancy project involving strip-out works, CAT A , and CAT B fit-out works.
This is a hands-on role, and responsibilities will include:
* Overseeing site set-up, hoarding, and signage
* Managing and leading the on-site labour team
* Traffic management and coordination
* Waste management and coordination
* Ensuring the site remains clean, organised, and safe at all times
* Coordinating site logistics to support programme delivery and maintain operational efficiency
We are looking for a proactive, forward-thinking individual who can confidently manage site logistics while maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.
Requirements
* Previous experience working for a reputable Design & Build fit-out contractor
* SSSTS
* CSCS Card
* First Aid at Work Certificate
* Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on commercial fit-out projects
* Strong communication and organisational skills
