Senior Construction Manager

Senior Construction Manager | Cambridge City Centre | £3m Live Refurbishment

Bigblue are working with a well established contractor on a £3 million refurbishment scheme in the heart of Cambridge.

This is a live environment project, so you'll be keeping works moving safely and smoothly while the building stays occupied and operational. There's a strong focus on M&E packages alongside some complex joinery works, so experience coordinating both will really set you apart.

You'll be running the site on a standalone basis, reporting into a visiting Project Manager, which means you'll need the confidence to make decisions and own the day to day delivery.

Key responsibilities

* Full management of a £3m refurbishment in a live environment

* Coordinating and overseeing M&E packages and specialist joinery subcontractors

* Liaising directly with clients and consultants, building strong working relationships

* Preparing and delivering progress reports and PowerPoint presentations

* Maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality and programme

What we're looking for

* Proven experience as a Senior Construction Manager or Construction Manager on refurbishment projects

* Track record of delivering works in live or occupied buildings

* Solid understanding of M&E and complex joinery packages

* Comfortable working standalone and taking ownership of a site

* Confident with computers, including producing professional PowerPoint presentations

* Excellent communication skills with clients and consultants

* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid
