Buildings and Construction UK Buyer

Morson Edge are recruiting for a experienced Buyer to join a major manufacturing organisation, supporting large-scale construction, facilities and capital investment projects across multiple UK sites.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading sourcing activities, managing tenders, negotiating contracts and developing strategic supplier relationships to deliver value, mitigate risk and support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities and tender processes.
  
• Negotiate and implement supplier contracts and commercial agreements.
  
• Manage supplier performance against cost, quality and delivery objectives.
  
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on high-value construction and facilities projects.
  
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support procurement improvement initiatives.
  
• Support the development and execution of procurement strategies.
  

Experience Required

• Previous experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Category Management or Supply Chain.
  
• Strong experience managing suppliers, tenders and commercial negotiations.
  
• Background within Construction, Manufacturing, Facilities Management, Engineering or Infrastructure sectors.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Experience supporting capital projects or construction-related procurement would be highly advantageous.
