Procurement Senior Associate

East Dunbartonshire Council’s Corporate Procurement Team have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialist to support the Corporate Procurement Team in the effective and efficient development and provision of the council’s Procurement Service, including specialist advice, supporting tendering and contracting activities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative requirements, best practice & best value, through the development and implementation of the Corporate Procurement Strategy, Procurement Governance and service plans that cover all aspects of council procurement activity.
The East Dunbartonshire Council Procurement team provides excellent opportunities for personal development and career progression within the public sector procurement environment, this role will be responsible supporting, analysing and reporting on Procurement data, processes, legislative/statistical reporting, and system development, covering areas to include social care, construction, roads, transport, environment, corporate, education and ICT. Reporting directly to the Corporate Procurement Team Leaders, supporting the delivery of Best Value and best practice within a local authority environment.
