Alexander Steele Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an award-winning FMCG business in the recruitment of a Supply Chain Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Supply Chain, Procurement or Logistics professional looking to take the next step in their career and lead a team within a fast-growing business with a turnover exceeding £100 million.

Leading a team of 6, you will be responsible for managing procurement, supply planning and logistics activities, ensuring product availability, supplier performance and service levels are maintained whilst driving cost efficiencies across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of 6 Supply Chain professionals.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate commercial agreements.
• Oversee procurement, inventory management and supply planning activities.
• Ensure stock availability while optimising working capital.
• Manage inbound logistics, imports and freight operations.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations and Planning teams to support business growth.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost-saving initiatives and supply chain efficiencies.
• Monitor and report on key supply chain performance metrics.

Skills & Experience

• Experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing and Logistics.
• Previous leadership or team management experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of supply planning, inventory management and supplier performance.
• Experience working within FMCG, Food Manufacturing or a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and spreadsheets.
• Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills. xwzovoh
