People like you.Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await!Job Description:Product Strategy & RoadmapDefine portfolio strategy, positioning, segmentation, and differentiation across industrial and automotive segmentsTranslate customer and market requirements into prioritized product specs, value propositions, and data-driven business casesLead marketing input into product roadmaps and lifecycle planningDevelop deep understanding of system-level requirements and platform strategiesPersonally lead product definition for the most strategically impactful programs, ensuring first-hand market insight shapes every critical decisionGo-to-Market ExecutionCreate and execute marketing strategies targeting priority segments, regions, and strategic accountsPartner with Sales on pipeline reviews, forecast alignment, and corrective actionsDrive win/loss analysis and competitive intelligence to refine positioningSupport strategic customer engagements and executive-level discussionsSales Enablement & CommunicationsDefine and drive high-impact collateral: solution briefs, presentations, launch kits, and case studiesLead product launches and ensure consistent messaging across all channelsServe as primary liaison to Corporate MarCom for brand-compliant executionTeam LeadershipManage a team of Marketing Engineers with full personnel responsibilitySet clear priorities, enforce execution standards, and foster a high-performance cultureDevelop talent through coaching, structured development plans, and succession planningLead by example as a hands-on contributor — stepping in to personally drive critical tasks when the situation demands itOperational Excellence & InnovationChampion the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows across the team to accelerate decision-making, automate routine tasks, and multiply productivityLeverage Tableau, Excel, and the broader Microsoft 365 suite to build dashboards, perform analyses, and deliver data-driven insights that inform strategyContinuously identify and implement process improvements that free the team to focus on high-value, strategic workPartner & Ecosystem DevelopmentManage and strengthen Microchip’s worldwide Touch Partner networkDrive design-ins through module partners, distribution, and direct customer channelsCross-Functional CollaborationCoordinate with Sales, Engineering, Applications, Systems, and Supply ChainRepresent marketing in cross-functional forums and customer escalationsRequirements/Qualifications:EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related fieldsMBA or equivalent senior expertise in marketing or applications roles is a plusExperienceMinimum 10 years in microcontroller-based sensing systems within a semiconductor company; capacitive touch controller experience is a plus.Proven experience in new IC and firmware product definition for automotive and/or fragmented industrial markets, translating customer and system-level requirements into silicon feature sets, firmware feature roadmaps, Marketing Requirement Documents (MRD), value propositions, and business cases.Proven track record in semiconductor product marketing, portfolio strategy, long-term planning, and go-to-market execution.5+ years managing and developing marketing teams in a semiconductor company, including priority setting, accountability, structured product definition discipline, and coaching of senior individual contributors.Minimum 10 years in product marketing roles in the semiconductor industry, across Automotive, Consumer, and/or Industrial segments.SkillsStrong strategic thinking with ability to prioritize in complex, resource-constrained environmentsBusiness acumen: business case development, forecast reviews, pipeline analysis, pricing strategiesTechnical depth: system-level architectures, semiconductor product development, qualification standards (AEC-Q100)Hands-on proficiency with analytics and productivity tools — particularly Tableau, Excel, and Microsoft 365 — with the ability to build dashboards and derive actionable insightsDemonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to optimize team workflows and accelerate outputExcellent oral and written communication in English; second language is an advantageSelf-motivated, customer-oriented, structured, and data-drivenTravelWillingness to travel across Asia, the United States, and Europe for customer visits and business engagementsTravel Time:25% - 50%To all recruitment agencies: Microchip Technology Inc. does not accept unsolicited agency resumes.
