About the role
Working on behalf of our client based in Wrexham, we are hiring for a Workshop Manager to start on a permanent basis.

Key Duties Allocate and distribute work to tradesmen in line with fabrication drawings issued by Project Engineers and Planners Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process work, and finished products in line with BS EN 1090-2 Manage day-to-day operations within the fabrication workshop, including supervision of staff and involvement in recruitment Oversee and control engineering processes to meet cost, programme, quality, and manufacturability targets Approve or reject materials and completed work based on specifications, ensuring any non-conformances are rectified and documented What we are looking for Proven experience in a workshop supervisory or foreman role within a fabrication or steelwork environment Knowledge of BS EN 1090-2 and quality inspection processes Strong understanding of fabrication drawings and the ability to translate them into shop floor tasks Experience managing teams, including performance xwzovoh management and mentoring What our client can offer in return Circa £50,000 per year depending on experience Immediate start with a well-established and growing business Working hours- Monday-Thursday 7.30-4.30.
Friday- 7.30-12.30 Opportunity to take a key leadership role within the workshop environment
