Field Service Engineer

Field Service Engineer Location: Midlands Salary: Up to £40,000 Basic + OTE up to £50,000 Benefits: Company Van + Overtime About the Role We are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering business, covering customer sites across the Midlands and surrounding areas. This is a customer-facing role focused on the installation, commissioning, servicing and repair of packaging machinery. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and be confident diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on complex automated equipment. You will work predominantly on-site, providing a high level of technical support while building strong relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities Install, commission and service packaging machinery at customer sites. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and control-system faults. Complete machinery upgrades, modifications and installations. Provide technical support and guidance to customers. Complete accurate service reports and documentation. Manage your own workload, travel and customer appointments. Work safely and professionally across a range of manufacturing environments. About You Previous Field Service Engineering experience is essential. Packaging machinery experience is essential. Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills. Experience working with automated machinery and control systems. Comfortable working independently at customer sites. Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. Full UK driving licence. Willingness to travel throughout the Midlands and occasionally further afield. What's on Offer Up to £40,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
