Salary: Up to £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + 10% Pension

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering Contractor, is seeking a Project Controls Manager to join their team on the flagship project. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a major infrastructure scheme, supporting senior leadership with high-quality project insight, reporting, and controls.

The successful candidate will be based on-site and will support the Project Management team in driving performance, governance, and informed decision-making across the project lifecycle.

Project Controls Manager Job Overview

• Provide project controls insight to support strategic and operational decision-making
• Produce and manage monthly reporting, dashboards, and performance updates for senior management and stakeholders
• Monitor project performance using Earned Value Management (EVM), KPIs, and data-driven dashboards
• Support senior leadership meetings, project reviews, and performance discussions
• Assist in managing and structuring project scope changes in line with contract requirements
• Coordinate project risk management activities, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking
• Develop and maintain project structures, reporting frameworks, and organisational maps
• Work closely with Project Planners to maintain and update project programmes
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project controls systems, tools, and processes

Project Controls Manager Job Requirements

• Degree qualified in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar
• Experience working on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of project planning, reporting, and controls methodologies
• Experience with Design & Build (D&B) projects
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and change management processes (advantageous)
• Proficient in Excel (including queries) and Power BI for reporting and data analysis
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud and BIM/information xwzovoh management systems
• CSCS Card (Manager or Academically Qualified)
• Full UK Driving Licence
