About the role

Roofer (10790) WPS is looking for an experienced Roofer to join our Responsive Maintenance team , working on a social housing contract in the Derbyshire area . You'll be carrying out day‑to‑day roofing repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties, delivering a high‑quality service while maintaining excellent standards of safety and customer care. Key Responsibilities Carry out responsive roofing repairs and maintenance across social housing properties Undertake roof inspections, fault diagnosis and remedial works Work in line with Health & Safety , safeguarding and company procedures Communicate effectively with schedulers, supervisors and residents Complete job records and materials used via a handheld/PDA system Work collaboratively with other trades when required Deliver a professional, customer‑focused service in occupied homes About You Proven experience as a Roofer , ideally within social housing or responsive maintenance NVQ Level 2 in Roofing (or equivalent) – essential Full UK driving licence – essential Experience working in occupied properties Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements Reliable, professional and customer focused What We Offer Secure, long‑term work on an established social housing contract Opportunity to work for a Tier 1, family‑owned contractor Competitive salary and benefits package Company van and fuel card (role dependent) Ongoing training and development opportunities Given the nature of this position, you will need to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
