Production Manager – Electronics Manufacturing
Location: Fife - 4 day week, onsite
Working Week: 37 hours
Frontier Resourcing is looking for a Production Manager to join a leading defence and aerospace manufacturing organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to lead production operations across a range of electronic and electro-mechanical products, driving performance across delivery, quality, safety and cost.
You will lead a cross-functional manufacturing team, managing Production Supervisors, Associates and Engineers within a high-performing engineering environment. The role combines hands-on production leadership, resource and budget management, and continuous improvement to ensure customer commitments are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Lead manufacturing operations as Control Account Manager (CAM), managing production budgets and touch labour hours.
Develop and execute production plans to meet customer delivery commitments.
Manage high-mix manufacturing operations and changing priorities using Lean Manufacturing principles.
Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, productivity and quality.
Lead, develop and motivate production teams, promoting a strong safety culture.
Monitor performance against budget, bid and delivery targets.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Operations.
Strong people leadership, organisational and communication skills.
A disciplined, results-driven approach to manufacturing performance and continuous improvement.
Desirable Experience
A degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Operations or a related discipline.
Electronics or electro-mechanical manufacturing.
Budget versus bid management and cost control.
SAP or shopfloor control systems.
Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
Lean Manufacturing and structured process improvement methodologies.
