If you are a Quality Inspector and your current role feels repetitive or you are being pushed to rush work out, this is worth a look.
You will be joining a large manufacturing site in Rotherham working across sectors including defence, rail and heavy engineering. The work is varied, the equipment is well invested, and the expectation is simple. Do the job properly.
What the role looks like day to day:
This is hands-on inspection work across machined parts and fabricated assemblies.
You will be working from drawings and CAD models, using your judgement to make decisions on quality. It is a structured environment where standards matter and people take pride in getting things right.
What you will be doing: Inspecting components and fabrications against engineering drawings and CAD.
Using FARO or similar measuring arms.
Working with Polyworks and standard inspection tools.
Producing clear and accurate inspection reports.
Following inspection plans set by the quality team.
Supporting calibration activities and maintaining records.
Liaising with quality engineers when required.
What they are looking for: Experience in a quality inspection role within metal manufacturing.
Confidence using measuring arms such as FARO or Hexagon.
Experience with Polyworks.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
A methodical, detail-focused approach.
This role suits someone who takes pride in accuracy and consistency. If you prefer a more relaxed environment where quality can slip, it will not be the right fit.
Why people move into this role:
The working pattern is a big part of it. A 4 day week gives you a long weekend every week, not just occasionally. Alongside that, you are joining a stable business with consistent work, modern equipment and a strong focus on quality.
What you get: Up to £19.00 per hour including shift allowance.
Overtime available.
33 days holiday including bank holidays.
Company pension and life assurance.
Healthcare scheme.
