General Manager – Premium Deli & Bakery – North West London

We are currently recruiting for an experienced, commercially minded General Manager to take the lead at a highly regarded, independent deli and bakery in North West London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate hospitality or retail manager who loves developing people, building customer relationships and making a genuine difference to a business.
The successful General Manager will take ownership of a busy, established operation with a loyal customer base and an excellent reputation within the local community. With a team already in place, the focus will be on providing strong leadership, introducing effective operational systems, developing staff and driving the business forward.
This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being the face of a business, understands the importance of exceptional customer service and has the commercial ability to take an already successful operation to the next level.

Our client is a much-loved independent deli and bakery in North West London, specialising in freshly prepared food, traditional deli products, baked goods and premium catering.
Having established itself as a cornerstone of the local community, the business enjoys an exceptionally loyal customer base and is known for its personal service and longstanding customer relationships.
Alongside its busy retail operation, the deli provides an extensive range of bespoke food orders, platters and catering for private celebrations, weddings, community events and religious occasions.
With a strong existing customer base, an established team and plenty of potential for further growth, this is an exciting opportunity for a General Manager to build on the business's success while bringing fresh ideas, structure and direction.

The Person
The successful General Manager will have:
Previous experience as a General Manager, Store Manager or senior manager within a quality deli, bakery, café, food retail or hospitality environment
A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams, with a genuine passion for coaching and training
Strong commercial awareness, including experience managing sales, labour costs, stock, wastage and profitability
The confidence to introduce and implement effective operational procedures and systems
A hands-on leadership style and a willingness to support the team across all areas of the business
Excellent customer service skills and the personality to build lasting relationships with a loyal and established customer base
Experience managing busy food operations, including production planning, stock control and high-volume customer orders
The ability to coordinate bespoke catering orders and work closely with kitchen and bakery teams
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure
A genuine understanding of the importance of community, tradition and delivering a personal customer experience
A proactive, positive approach with the drive and ambition to take a successful business to the next level
