Hays are pleased to be supporting a growing organisation based in Glasgow with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract . This is an excellent opportunity to support the business during a key finance systems transition, gaining exposure to complex, data-driven work across international operations.
Your new role
This role will suit a detail-oriented finance professional with strong Excel capability and experience working with large datasets. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and consistency of historical financial data while supporting a wider systems migration project. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement , with two to three days per week on-site . The office benefits from free on-site parking and excellent public transport links .
Key responsibilities:
Collating and processing large volumes of financial data from multiple sources and formats
Reviewing and validating multi-year financial statements for accuracy and completeness
Cleansing datasets by removing duplicates and identifying inconsistencies
Identifying historical calculation errors and carried-forward inaccuracies
Supporting a finance systems transition project across international territories
Working closely with internal finance stakeholders to ensure data integrity
Maintaining clear audit trails and project documentation
What youll need to succeed
Previous experience in a finance, accounts assistant or similar role
Fluent Polish language skills (spoken and written) essential
Strong Excel skills, including reconciliations xwzovoh and data manipulation
High attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a project-driven environment
What youll get in return
£28,000 per annum , pro-rated for the duration of the contract
