Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced and motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of our client in Newtown on a full-time basis. This in an excellent opportunity for a local skilled engineer to work with a local, established family run business. You will be working within a fast-paced environment, supporting the maintenance and reliability of manufacturing and packing equipment. Rate of pay circa £35,000 - £45,000 based on 40 hours basic pay. There is an opportunity to work overtime when required. Hours of work are between 7am - 4pm/Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities * Carry out daily visual inspections of production line machinery * Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing * Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment breakdowns * Conduct regular quality and safety checks to minimise downtime * Maintain accurate records of planned and emergency maintenance * Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations * Assist with general building maintenance when required Essential Requirements * Previous experience within a manufacturing environment * Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and organisational abilities * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Flexible and proactive approach to work * Full clean driving licence Desirable Skills * City & Guilds Inspection & Testing of electrical installations qualification * Qualified to 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018 * Experience in control panel building and PLC programming Benefits * Company Pension scheme * Work with an experienced and friendly team * Company uniform provided
