Primary KS2 Teacher

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream primary schools based in Wakefield, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 2 / KS2. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment where children with a range of abilities and additional learning needs are supported to access the primary curriculum.

The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic Primary Teacher for day-to-day or long-term work, with an immediate start available. The successful Primary Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, providing targeted SATs preparation and intervention support, adapting learning activities to meet SEND needs and maintaining effective classroom management.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

A PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status / QTS

Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2 in a UK primary school

Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience supporting pupils with SATs preparation

Experience adapting teaching and learning to support pupils with SEND

Excellent classroom management and communication skills

A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
