Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer Location: Hertfordshire and Surrounding areas Salary: £50,000-£55,000 per annum Company Van Fuel Card Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role Were seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our Facilities Management team, covering Hertfordshire and the surrounding area.

Youll be responsible for delivering a mix of reactive maintenance, breakdown response, and planned servicing across a range of commercial client sites, including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, and public buildings.
This is a field-based role that requires a proactive approach, technical expertise, and a strong customer focus to maintain safe and efficient building services for our clients.
Key Responsibilities Respond promptly to breakdowns and reactive maintenance calls on commercial gas and heating systems.
Carry out fault diagnosis, repairs, and commissioning of boilers, burners, and associated plant equipment.
Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) in line with service schedules.
Perform gas safety inspections and issue the appropriate certification.
Work closely with the helpdesk and site teams to ensure all jobs are completed within agreed SLAs.
Maintain accurate service reports and documentation via mobile device or tablet.
Ensure compliance with Gas Safe and all relevant health & safety regulations.
Deliver a high standard of customer service, representing the company professionally on client sites.
Requirements Valid Gas Safe registration with up-to-date commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CODNCO1).
Demonstrable experience working in a commercial FM or building services environment.
Strong background in breakdowns, fault-finding, and reactive maintenance.
Full UK driving licence.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Competent in digital job reporting and record keeping. xwzovoh
Desirable: Additional HVAC or mechanical maintenance experience.
Domestic gas or LPG qualifications (e.g.
CCN1).
